What you are doing and what you are trying to achieve. so what ever you do you must be fully aware You knowledge of internet hygiene.router's security could be compromised with a bad app, virus, trojan worm and ect. Than its important what is your level of knowledgeĪnd understanding.and the most important thing is Location: UK, London, just across the river.įirst we don't know your router model and build running.you should ve start with that.!! Looking to get that working back soon.Īwaiting for response from the community. However i seem to have done something wrong since i now cannot access internet when i plug in LAN cable in router and computer but WIFI on mobile devices still work. So I flashed my stock firmware to ddwrt to my router as a long process to strength my digital network. 2 more times and i may loose my internet access and have to switch to different isp. I've had my isp notify me 3 times in 5 months that there have been attemps of MITM. Im a local user who uses wifi but surrounded by a lot of clever malicious guys in the local area. None of the device i have support wpa3 atm. Under security, firewall is enabled, everything except cookies is checked. I have turned on mac filter -> permit only registered mac -> registered macs of users, have 16 digit strong password, disabled wireless ssid broadcast, upnp disabled, traffic daemon, sshd and telnet disabled. I would like to make my network as much private and secure as I can. I always login by connecting cable to my computer and router via google chrome browser to modify any settings. I only use WIFI for 4 devices I do not use remote management. I would like to know what a professional user would keep his settings to avoid any harm from external malicious users.
